Scene from 1958's "The Lineup" featuring Sutro's showcasing its grand interior, skating rink and arcade machines (currently at Musee Mechanique). Sutro Baths added an ice-skating rink in the late 1930s (around 1937) to boost declining attendance, converting part of the old plunge pool area, with the rink becoming the main attraction by the 1950s before the entire complex closed and burned down in 1966, leaving only ruins.

From archive.org - Amateur film - In 1939, San Francisco's Treasure Island was the site of the Golden Gate International Exposition, a World's Fair that celebrated the Pacific region and the city's new bridges. The fair featured large-scale art and architecture, a "Gayway" with various attractions, and a major music festival with stars like Judy Garland. It opened on February 18.
